HEPATITIS E

Etiology

Symptoms of Hepatitis E

Diagnosis of Hepatitis E

The doctor or your healthcare advisor will ask about your medical history and your recent tours.  A physical test might also be performed. Yet, the most important thing is the blood test.

Treatment of Hepatitis E

If the test results show the presence of the disease, then the patient requires treatment. Hepatitis E generally disappears itself on its own in a week or two. But if the disease is left untreated, it can surely cause acute liver failure. So you must treat the disease. The most commonly used method to treat the disease is by medication. In such cases, Ribavirin is a very good medication that has to be used continuously for 21 days. This will help to improve the functioning of the liver in some small studies. However, in such a case, when your immune system is not suppressed, there might be no need for medication.
